What is 3D printing

3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model which can either be a STL file or OBJ file

There are two main technologies in 3d printing which are popular

  1. Resin 3D printing(LCD Printer)

In this technology a UV light is directed towards the resin tank from a array of Leds and a lcd screen blocks the light and the light that passes through solidifies the liquid resin layer by layer and the object if formed

in the past RGB lcds were used which had higher cure time and lesser life now monochrome resin printers

are popular due to their short cureing time and longer life, most LCD printers with Monochrome screens have a warranty of 3 months for the Lcd

These resin 3d printers are used in Jewelry ,dental and by hobbyists .

The resins generally have a bad smell and mask and gloves are a must while handling them

Main Brands are Phrozen,Elegoo and Anycubic in LCD printers

The most popular software for lcd resin printers is Chitubox

For post processing the resin printed parts a wash and cure station can be used which is discounted right now to 9999inr By Creality

Castable Resin can be used for direct casting , the creality castable resin has 35% wax
